If you do get trapped in their shopping experience, remember there are emergency exits around the store for moments where frustration overwhelms your patience.

Great display of furniture, helpful staff, usually good levels of stock and great little restaurant area with ridiculously cheap food. Wear comfortable footwear because it's a long and winding road if you're doing the full store. But if you know what you want, you can walk in back wards through the cash registers and get to what you want a lot faster. Just DON'T EVER CONSIDER GOING THERE ON A PUBLIC HOLIDAY. I literally cannot put enough emphasis on this advice.

The food court here is not that cheap during the day. Meals are very below average.

Just lacks a border collie and a couple of blue healers to keep you bunched together and moving along.

If you enjoy the idea of living/glimpsing the life of sheep or cattle you’ll love it.

Better example of fast serve dining (a term I use very lightly here) can be found, well, just about everywhere else.

You know it and love it. So long as you know which end of a screwdriver to hold, you're set. There's two big levels of furniture and housewares shopping here. I recommend learning where the shortcuts are to save your legs! There's a massive carpark. It's never full, even on the busiest days. Some people come here just for the cheap food. There's a child care facility if you need somewhere to stash the little ones. The child care is very popular though so sometimes booking a time slot is essential. See you there!

Would eat breakfast here but skip eating outside the breakfast offerings other times.

Hate having to work your way around the entire store in a pre determined pattern before being able to just buy what you want and get out.

IKEA does have some worthwhile gear for sale but at a cost. It makes Kmart (even with its ridiculous cash register locations centre store) feel like an up market superior shopping experience.

My advice, buy online with home delivery or express pickup if available.

After breakfast menu the food changes to super processed plastic rubbish.

Who doesn't love IKEA? This particular store is modern, well run and displays are constantly updated. The restaurant can get busy in peak times so just go straight for the $1.50 hot dogs after the checkout. Most products are available in the self-pick warehouse on the lower floor, but for very bulky items or appliances be aware you'll have to collect them from a separate warehouse just up the road.

Whole kitchen for our Granny flat sorted super fast using the kitchen design software! Great and very helpful staff here. It will now take us approximately 6 weeks to assemble everything we bought...
